Lenci cloth is a non-woven fabric (devoid of weft and warp) obtained by felting of the fibers generally of carded wool of sheep or goat’s hair mohair. It is characterized by being warm, light and thin. Since it is not a fabric it does not tend to fray when cut, it does not come undone and therefore does not need finishing edges or stitching. Lenci cloth is involved for garments and even a peculiar type of dolls called Lenci dolls.
