We’re pleased to announce the entry of Flower Power into “Piemonte: The Heartbeat of Italian Luxury Textiles”, a curated community within B/COMMUNITY that showcases the excellence, creativity, and artisanal savoir-faire of textile producers based in the Piedmont region of Italy.
Based in Turin and founded in 2003, Flower Power is not your typical textile company, it is an artisan laboratory where tradition meets experimentation, and where nature becomes both medium and message. Specializing in botanical printing, also known as ecoprint, Flower Power brings a centuries-old technique back to life with a refined, contemporary approach.
Through this slow, natural process, flowers and leaves are carefully selected and arranged on natural fabrics, such as linen, cotton, silk, and wool, before undergoing a unique transformation. The tannins contained in the leaves, along with other organic pigments, interact with the fabric during the steaming process, transferring their shape, color, and even their imperfections. The result is a customized textile that is truly one-of-a-kind, infused with the beauty and unpredictability of the natural world.
Every piece created by Flower Power is the outcome of dedicated research, careful material selection, and close collaboration with the client.
